ABOUT THE EBOOK

The title of the ebook pretty much explains what this ebook is; An Interview with Sara Brown. Inside Sara divulges a lot of key information which many an Internet Marketer would find useful.

In the ebook Sara discusses:

· Her best discovery about the Internet!
· The best discovery of her Life!
· Her previous Jobs!
· The formula she uses to launch a New Product!
· Where she gets her Ideas!
· How easy it is to set up an Income Stream!
· Her first major success in Internet Marketing!
· The most important money making skill a person can have as an Internet Marketer!
· Why some people aren't successful Online!
· Some of the real life income streams she has used in the past and uses Today!

I found this ebook an interesting read. Although it is not the most in depth Internet Marketing ebook out there it gave me some useful ideas to consider. The ebook starts with general questions about Sara's past achievements, jobs, and income streams. Towards the middle of the ebook and until the end Sara talks in detail about some of the income streams she has set up in the past.

The most interesting parts of the ebook I found were about Sara's offline income streams. These are a classic example of an idea that involved 'Thinking Outside the Box' and ones that get your mind rolling for similar ideas. One of them was an ingenious idea involving a car boot sale and the other involving winches. She also talks about one of her online income streams involving getting babies to sleep, a subject that Sara again had very little knowledge of before she started up the income stream. Other interesting things covered in this ebook include the rumour that Sara Brown is in fact Tony Shepherd.

GOOD POINTS

· Provides real life examples of income streams Sara has used both on and offline to generate an income.

· An additional interview ebook with Tony Shepherd is provided absolutely FREE.

· Relatively low priced in comparison to similar ebooks.

BAD POINTS

· Since it is an interview ebook it does not provide you with actual systems you can implement.

· Relatively short when compared to other ebooks (only 36 pages).

HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH SARA BROWN

The main thing I gained from An Interview with Sara Brown is from her offline income streams. This got me thinking about ways that I could make money offline. This in turn led me to research ways I could make money offline in an area that I had expertise. A quick search of the forums helped me formulate a simple idea which was initially spawned from reading this interview.

Ebook Review: The One Month Magnate

Ebook Review: The One Month Magnate

EBOOK DETAILS

File Size: 1.55mb Unzipped.
Number of Pages: 1 long scrolling page.
Format: Executable (.exe)
Subject: The One Month Magnate is a step by step guide to how Tony Shepherd created a product to sell on the internet starting from scratch. That means no mailing list and no website, just his past experience.

About Tony Shepherd (Author of The One Month Magnate)

Tony Shepherd is one of the UK's most private Internet Marketers. Co-owner of Laycock Publishing with marketing guru Sara Brown, Tony has written several books and made his living from the Internet for a number of years. Tony usually writes under different names and keeps his private life away from work, making sure the latter is kept to a minimum.

ABOUT THE EBOOK

The One Month Magnate shows how Tony Shepherd given a computer and an Internet connection went from earning nothing to over $4,000 in 30 days. He did not use a website or his mailing list. The ebook tells in great detail, with screenshots and links, how Tony did this. He divulges all the tools he used and exactly how he did it. In his own word "I follow this blueprint every time I'm setting up a new business."

In the ebook Tony discusses:

· How most Internet users willingly tell you what they're prepared to pay money for, without you even realising!!

· How experience is NOT Important!!

· The blueprint he uses to launch all his new businesses!!

· Why he will never work for an Employer again!!

· How he did it EXACTLY including the EXACT amount of money earned, and the EXACT way he implemented the blueprint, with screenshots to illustrate this!!

· How to become an Expert in your chosen field!!

· How to use free gifts to make Money!!

· How experts can help you make money for Free!!

· What he would have done the following month to increase his Profits!!

The process Tony follows involves three main stages; Research, Becoming an Expert, and Marketing and Selling the Product. In the research stage, Tony tells you all the tools he uses to decide upon and research his product. Then he tells you about the sources he uses to become an expert in this field. Finally, Tony tells you the methods he would use to market and sell his product (without a website remember). On top of this there is even a bonus section outlining what Tony would have done if he had an extra 11 days to market his product.

Upon reading this ebook I was very impressed. Firstly, impressed about the amount of money Tony actually made, and secondly I was impressed about the level of honesty and detail within the ebook. Tony tells you exactly what he did and what he didn't. For example, Tony admits that he didn't set up a website to promote his product because he didn't have time. It definitely gives you an interesting idea on how 30 days hard work could potentially provide you with a regular income.

This ebook is aimed at readers who have a reasonable knowledge of Internet Marketing. You will need to know how to use forums, how to create the product you decide upon, and how to accept payments online. If you do not yet know how to do this then some research is required. You can easily do this by searching on http://www.google.com/. Once you have done the above, I would heartily recommend this ebook as it provides one of the most in-depth looks I have come across on researching, promoting, and selling a product on the Internet, in such a short period. Obviously, if you had longer you would be able to market your product in much greater depth and perhaps use more methods to do so, but given the short-time period, this is a seriously impressive ebook.

GOOD POINTS

· Gives readers a step by step system with screenshots that can easily be applied to almost any product.

· The section on how to become an expert with no prior knowledge of the field is particularly useful. With this information, the products you could release are virtually limitless.

· All the methods of promotion outlined are very effective yet require no financial expenditure.

· The methods used will generate residual income i.e. Tony would have generated at least the same amount of money every consecutive month, following this blueprint.

· The style of writing is to the point and easy to follow.

· The text is broken up by images making it easier to read.

BAD POINTS

· The ebook is mainly aimed at the short-term even though Tony does say what he would have done in the next 10 days (medium-term). It does not discuss more long-term forms of Internet Marketing.

· Although it touches on a lot of key Internet Marketing methods, it does not go into great detail on them.

· It leaves you wondering what other ebooks Tony Shepherd has written (under his other aliases) with no way to find out.

HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM THE ONE MONTH MAGNATE

At the moment I have not implemented the ideas from The One Month Magnate, as I am focusing at the moment on creating an ebook on a field in which I am quite knowledgeable. However, this ebook is definitely going to be useful for future reference. I can definitely see myself creating some successful products by following Tony's blueprint.

Create Your Own Product

Create Your Own Product

One of the great things about the internet is that there are many ways to take your own passions, interests, hobbies and talents and turn them into a profitable stream of income. A great way to do this is by writing your own Ebook. An Ebook has many advantages over traditional books that are sold in bookshops.

For the author it offers the ability to easily get their work published and also affords them the freedom to write about just about anything that they want to without any restrictions. The profit margins are also significantly higher. With a traditional book the profits that go to the author are usually in the region of fifteen percent of the sale price. However, in the world of Ebooks the profit can be very close to one hundred percent.

For the customer there is are also significant advantages because they can buy the book at any time of the day and receive an instant download. They also save the money and time that would usually be involved with going to a bookstore to buy. Usually Ebooks are bundled with great extras which makes them even better value.

Once you have committed to the decision that you are going to write your own book what you must decide is the topic. Then it is wise to find out what sort of demand there would be for that particular niche. You can do this by going to Overture and using their keyword tool to see how many searches were made for that niche over the past month.

If there were a reasonable number of searches then you want to start writing. You should create a plan and then stick to it. A realistic plan could be to write three pages per day over a month. Start today and then in a month’s time you will have written your very own ninety page Ebook. Not too difficult, is it? All it requires is commitment.

After you have completed writing your book you will need to have a one page sales page from which to sell it. This is extremely easy to set up with a Website creation software like XSitePro. Then to allow yourself to accept orders from your site you will need to sign up with Clickbank or PayPal. This is not complicated at all and will help you to automate the process.

Finally to get the book into a package that is easy to download you will want to convert it to a PDF. Then you will want to have an attractive Ebook cover created. The old saying, "Don’t judge a book by it’s cover," may have some truth in it, however, in the world of selling things it is of incredible importance to have a cover that will draw the customer in and more likely to buy from you.

Services such as this are provided at freelance websites such as Elance. It can be extremely helpful before starting out writing your Ebook to get some good advice on all the major issues that you may come across and really streamline the experience. Jim Edwards offers some really good advice in his Write An Ebook in 7 Days programme.

Ebay Ebook Success: The Benefits of Having an eBay Store

Ebay Ebook Success: The Benefits of Having an eBay Store

I firmly believe that to be a success when selling ebooks on eBay you need to have an eBay store. They more than pay for the £6 monthly fee with the benefits they provide. These include cheaper fees, longer listing duration, and much more. Find out about all the benefits below:

1) Cheaper Fees:- The insertion fee for an auction listing on eBay is 15p. The insertion fee for a buy it now listing on eBay is 20p. However, the insertion fee for a store listing is only 3p. On top of this the gallery fee for auction and buy it now listings is 15p whilst the gallery fee for a store listing is only 5p. These are the only two listing features I use for my eBay ebook listings which gives me a total saving of between 12p-17p per ebook I list in my eBay store. Now this doesn't seem like much of a saving, but since I list all my ebooks as store listings and only a small proportion as auction listings this actually equates to a significant saving. I would advise any other ebook sellers on eBay to also list their ebooks in this way as it will lead to huge cost savings for you. If you list your full inventory as eBay store listings, and then your most popular items on the main eBay site as either buy it now or auction style listings you can save money and promote your eBay store (I will discuss this promotion aspect further in the next edition of the newsletter).

2) Longer Listing Duration:- The maximum listing duration of a buy it now or auction style listing is ten days. With a store inventory listing you can list for 30 days, 90 days, or Good till Cancelled (the listing renews every 30 days till you cancel it). Not only does this provide the benefit of added value for money, but it also saves you a lot of time. Instead of relisting an ebook every ten days you can simply list it in your store as Good till Cancelled and not worry about it again.

3) Unlimited Inventory:- When you list an ebook as an auction or buy it now the insertion fee goes up depending how many items you want to list. When you list in your eBay store the insertion fee remains at 3p whether you list 1 item or 1000 items. This is a huge benefit to ebook sellers because as you already know, you can sell infinite copies of the same ebook, since it is digital. Therefore, if you list 1000 copies of your ebook (or even more if you wish) as a Good till Cancelled listing you will hardly every have to maintain it. This will not only save you time but also money.

4) Custom Store Pages:- With a basic eBay store you get 5 custom pages (and even more with anchor and featured stores). These custom pages are useful ways of conveying extra information to your customers. I use my custom pages for; a Disclaimer page, a Privacy Policy page, a SPAM Policy page, a Terms and Conditions page, and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. However, they can also be used to convey other important information to your customers or to promote one of your products or websites. Having these custom pages available in your eBay store makes you look more professional which in turn generates increased customer trust.

5) Store Categories:- With an eBay store you get 20 custom categories which you can assign your listings to. This is extremely useful because customers who are looking for a certain type of ebook will be able to browse by category. Some of the categories I use include; "Gambling Guides and Systems," "Email and Autoresponder" and "Wholesale and Dropshipping." If a customer visits my eBay store and only has a general idea of the ebook that they want, these categories should guide them in the right direction, and then hopefully lead to a sale. Since many people who buy ebooks will be merely browsing, these categories should increase sales and also make your store easier to navigate, meaning customers are more likely to return.

6) Store Cross Promotion:- With an eBay store you can cross-promote your items. This involves a small box appearing at the bottom of your listings promoting some of your other listings. You can do this manually, automatically, or via store category. I prefer to do it by category as then the most relevant listings appear and so there is more chance of a customer making a repeat purchase. For example, if a customer buys a Chilli Recipe ebook and at the bottom of the listing you are promoting 4 more recipe ebooks, it is likely that this is something the buyer will be interested in, and so may make another purchase from you. If however, 4 gambling guides appear, the customer is unlikely to be interested in this, and so is less likely to make a repeat purchase. Repeat business will not only increase your profits but also increase your long-term growth.

Recently eBay has also added the ability to cross-promote with other sellers. This is very easy to set up and eBay manages the whole process for you. All you have to do is go to the "Cross-Promotion Connections" area of My eBay and then use the request cross-promotions link in order to set them up. If the other seller agrees then a box promoting their products will appear on your listings and vice versa. This is again a valuable opportunity to increase sales.

7) Store Tools:- With an eBay store you get tools such as sales reports, traffic reports, and a basic newsletter tool. The first two tools are very useful for monitoring how your business is growing. The traffic reports show you your daily traffic for all of your eBay pages, and compare it to the traffic on those pages both 4 weeks prior and 1 year prior. This allows you to monitor both your short term and long-term growth.

The sales reports are particularly useful because they incorporate eBay fees and PayPal fees. This means you can see how much actual profit you are making after all fees have been accounted for. They also show sales growth so you can monitor this also.

The newsletter tool whilst basic is also useful. If people opt-in to recieve your newsletter then it can automatically be set to send out monthly updates of new items that have been added to your eBay store. This again increases the chance of repeat business. It is particularly useful for ebook sellers who are likely to be adding new products on a regular basis.

8) Store Customisation:- With an eBay store you can customise the look and feel of the store, making it unique. The ways you can do this include adding a store logo, adding a custom header to all your logos, choosing the layout of your categories and listings, changing the colours, using promotion boxes, and much more. The benefit that this provides is that when customers visit your store it is different and stands out from the rest. This will make them pay more attention to your store, spend more time browsing, and hopefully lead to increased sales and long-term business.

9) Store URL:- When you get an eBay store you get an actual URL (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/yourstore) which you can promote. Not only does this link look much more attractive and professional than the long and clunky View the Sellers Items link, but it also gets listed in the search engines and the eBay stores directory. This means that you will have traffic coming in from outside of eBay also, which is a benefit you do not get without eBay stores.

Hopefully this article has shown you that for the low monthly fee of £6 you can save time and money, look like a more professional business, and increase your traffic and sales. You even get your first month of having an eBay store free so there really is nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.

Five Other Marketing Uses For Ebooks Aside From Selling Them

So you’ve created your own eBook, or have otherwise caused the preparation of the same. Or maybe you have purchased an already existing eBook with its master resale rights or private label right.

Now, you’re contemplating on how much you’re going to sell it to recover your investments. You’re already thinking about hiring a copywriter to create a sales page, or maybe, you’re even studying the basics of copywriting to write your own sales copy.

But is selling the eBook the best step to take? Indeed, you may gain some sales, either through your efforts, or through the efforts of your affiliates, but this will be short term profit. The earnings will only be good for a number of transactions.

Here’s an alternative you may decide to take: give away your eBook for free and make it viral.

At first glance, you may think of this tactic as dismissible. After all, where’s the money in giving something away for free, right?

Well, such an eBook can serve as the seed for a viral marketing campaign, and in the long run, it can provide for you a continuous source of prospects that will be willing to purchase your future offers. How is this possible? How is this done? Do consider the strategies below:

1. Populate the pages of your eBook with your affiliate links. These affiliate links should be properly invoked, meaning, they will be mentioned in accordance with relevant portions of your information product. If you’re discussing email marketing in one chapter, recommend an autoresponder service through your affiliate link. If you’re discussing web hosting, recommend a web hosting service through your affiliate link, or perhaps, even your reseller account. Since the eBook will most likely be passed around (since it’s free), you’d be able to expose your products and affiliate links to more people in the long run.

2. Populate the pages of your eBook with links to your URL. This URL should point to a landing page where you can capture the contact details of your visitors. Veteran online marketers will tell you that capturing leads is just as important as bagging some sales. Once your visitors subscribe to your mailing list, you can employ your email marketing strategies to warm them up for future sales.

3. Reserve it for use as a bonus for your future offers. This will increase the value of your future offers, and such can justify a higher selling price. Additionally, your future offers will sell faster because of the eBook you’ll be packing in for free.

4. Use your eBook as leverage for joint ventures. Some JV setups will require you to contribute a product to the pool which will be sold as one solid package. Often, these setups will require you to throw in the private label rights or the master resale rights of the same. If you wish to preserve the exclusivity of your other products, use your new eBook instead.

5. Give away your eBook to the members of your mailing list. Such a gesture will surely make them happy. And when they’re kept happy, they’d get warmed up to your future offers.

As you can see, there are many, many other applications for your eBook other than selling it. And the fact that you will give it away free of charge would add a viral exponent to the equation. People love free things, and people love sharing free things with their family and friends. It’s human nature! Your eBook will be distributed in many, many channels, and if you will play your cards right, you’d generate a lot of leads from these situations.

Your Business Needs Craigslist

There may be specific instances when Craigslist might not be the best choice for a marketing campaign, yet there are times when your business can't afford to overlook Craigslist for its advertising. In this article you will see two likely situations where your business should seriously consider marketing on Craigslist, failing to do this could be detrimental to your business. This would include emerging startup companies that lack a substantial marketing budget as well as existing businesses whose competitors advertise prominently on Craigslist.Marketing On Craigslist For The Emerging Startup CompanyAn emerging startup company often has to do a lot of work if they wish to start competing with already existing companies that are thriving. Companies like this often have an established client base along with substantial budgets for luring in new customers. Another stumbling block startups often face is customer loyalty. To break customer loyalty a new company has to either have higher quality offerings, comparable offerings at a better price or a memorable ad campaign that appeals to consumers.Of course, newer companies hardly ever have a marketing budget large enough to develop a full-scale ad campaign. This is where Craigslist is a virtual necessity. A smaller company is able to focus more resources on creating fine-tuned ad copy without having to spend large sums of monetary resources in the running of these ads in other print or air media.Even though there is much that is appealing about free advertising, this advertising needs to be as sophisticated as if you were placing it somewhere that you would have to pay for it. Keeping this rule in mind will aid your business in developing and keeping a professional image. It will also help your business in enticing potential customers to give whatever you offer a chance.Keeping Your Competition From Dominating The MarketThe other situation where your business needs to seriously consider advertising with Craigslist is when you find direct competitors taking advantage of the marketing possibilities on Craigslist. It's important to do this because if you don't, in effect, you are handing your competition all of its customers it is getting from Craigslist.Let's say you have a dog grooming business in Phoenix, Arizona. If a lot of people in Phoenix are using their local Craigslist page to locate dog groomers, you are sure to miss out on many of these potential clients. After all, these people are likely to choose someone advertising through Craigslist for any of their dog grooming needs. However, if you placed a well-written ad in the appropriate category on Craigslist you would likely gain some of the available market share. There is an exception to placing ads where your competitors are currently advertising. That is if the local market is saturated with competitors. Look at the above sample business of dog grooming in Phoenix. If there were only a few competitors on Craigslist it would be a smart choice to place an ad of your own. On the other hand, if there were hundreds of other dog groomers marketing on the Phoenix Craigslist site, then your ad would not stand out. And your advertising would be better served elsewhere. It is a good habit to check Craigslist from time to time because the number of competitors could decline. At that time it would be acceptable to place an ad.
